Laboratory of Genetic Diversity and Evolution
Manolo Perez, Ph.D
Perez did his undergraduate, Master’s degree and PhD work at the LaGEvol. He used genetic population tools, phylogenetics and phylogeography to investigate demographic events and phylogenetic relationships in cactus species. He is now a postdoctoral fellow at PPGGEv at UFSCar.
Gulzar Khan, Ph.D
Khan joined the lab in 2015. For his postdoc work, he focused on accessing hybridization in Melocactus species using ddRADseq protocol. He is now a research associate at Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg.
Gislaine Angélica, Ph.D
Angélica joined the lab in 2013. Her postdoc work focused on population structure and phylogeography in Uebelmannia (Cactaceae).
Juliana Bombonato, Ms.
Bombonato joined the lab as undergraduate and master’s student. Her most recent work focused on phylogeny of Cereus using ddRADseq protocol. She is now working as a toxicologist at Diagnóstico Brasil.
Paulianny de Moura, Ms.
Moura did her master’s degree at LaGEvol. Her work focused on population structure in Pilosocereus aureispinus. She currently works as a biology teacher in public school system.
Cecíla Jojima, Ms.
Jojima did her master’s degree at LaGEvol. Her work focused on phylogeography of Cereus.
